Breast Lift Surgery (medically referred to as mastopexy) is done to raise the breasts to achieve a more youthful appearance. The natural process of aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and gravity can lead to changes in your breast contour and position over time.
Dr. Yaniris R. Avellanet has extensive experience with the most advanced techniques available. Her goal is to give you the best results with minimal downtime using her exceptional and artistic skill set.
Dr. Avellanet will tailor the procedure to suit your individual needs. During your initial complimentary consultation, she will analyze your breast shape, skin elasticity, and volume. Depending on your anatomic needs and cosmetic goals, she may recommend a traditional breast lift or another approach.
If you have lost breast volume or wish to increase your breast size, you may prefer to include breast implants with the breast lift to obtain the shape and fullness that you desire.
If you have additional questions, our friendly and knowledgeable staff can help answer them. Contact us today for more information or to schedule a complimentary consultation.
Breast Lift Recovery
Breast Lift surgery typically takes between one to three hours, based on each patient’s needs. Dr. Avellant is unique because she uses local anesthesia for the breast lift surgery. To help you manage the discomfort, we will provide prescription medication.
You should rest and relax at home for a few days after surgery, after which time you can return to work and normal activities if you feel comfortable. You should not lift anything heavier than four pounds for the first two weeks.
Also, you should not do any strenuous activities for at least a month, or as long as Dr. Avellanet recommends. Some swelling may continue for several months or longer, but you should begin to see the outcome almost immediately.
