Tummy tuck (abdominoplasty)
Weight gain and weight loss, pregnancy, and the natural process of aging can sometimes cause the skin and muscles in your midsection to stretch and to hang out. Tummy Tuck surgery (medically referred to as abdominoplasty) is a procedure designed to restore the shape and contour of your abdomen to a firmer, more youthful appearance. Dr. Yaniris Avellanet utilizes the latest abdominoplasty techniques to reduce excess skin, tighten underlying muscles, and remove fatty tissue as needed to achieve the desired outcome with minimal downtime.
During your initial complimentary consultation, Dr. Avellanet will discuss your cosmetic goals to develop a personalized treatment plan that can optimize your results. With her years of experience, high skill set and artistic eye, she can help you achieve a more toned and younger looking body.
Tummy Tuck Recovery
We recommend you rest and relax at home for at least one week or more. You need to avoid strenuous exercise for at least a month, or as long as Dr. Avellanet recommends. Bruising, swelling, and tenderness in the treated area is normal, and Dr. Avellanet will provide you medication to help with post-surgery discomfort. You should not bend or lift, but you should try to get up and move around soon after surgery, because it can help improve blood flow. While some benefits will be noticeable immediately, the final results will be more apparent about three months post-surgery. The incision scar should also continue to improve in appearance over time.
